Soon, our Parish will be in a position to have a welcome and celebration party for our new Parish Priest!
Pending final approval from Bishop White, our St. Paul’s Greenville Parish Profile will be ready to post in early May along with the job listing for our open priest position. This posting will be published on the Diocese of Southern Ohio website and the National Episcopal Church website.
We know this process has taken more time than any of us would prefer. However, with the assistance of Rev. Melanie Slane, Transition Minister for the Diocese, we have made good and constructive progress over the past 6-9 months. In a meeting with the Vestry in March, Rev. Slane stated her goal was for us to post our open position by the first week of May. And during Rev. Slane’s last meeting with the Vestry on March 17, she stated her goal is to help us find not one, but two, well-qualified priest candidates to consider joining our parish.
We recently finalized the make up of our Priest Search Team. Please join me in offering a note of thanks to Karen Burkett, John McCracken, Sharon Wintrow, Jan Dunwoody, and Rachel Grilliot, for volunteer their time to serve on this important committee.
Dear Lord, watch over us and guide us, your humble servants, as we officially begin the journey looking for the next great Priest to join us at St Paul’s Episcopal church in Greenville, Ohio. Amen!
