SENIOR WARDEN NOTES:
March is upon us and the first day of Spring on March 20th is just around the corner. The church season of Lent continues all month long. We will celebrate Holy Eucharist on three Sundays this month and Liturgy of Word on one Sunday. Lent is a time of prayer and reflection while developing a closer relationship to God. I would like to offer some quotes and thoughts from recent services and two other sources to help guide us through this Lenten season as we prepare to celebrate the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ at Easter in early April.
–“We are all different parts of the Body of Christ and all the parts work together for Jesus Christ.” Father Brown Mujete, January 22, 2023
–“We are called to love God, love each other, every day, no exceptions.” Rev. Daniel Linnenberg, February 12, 2023
–Look for “spirit moments” every day. These moments are a “time to help and do good”. Joe Grilliot, January 29, 2023
–“There is always Light, if only we are brave enough to see it. There is always Light, if only we are brave enough to be it.” Amanda Gorman, Poet
–“I believe that appreciation is a Holy thing–that when we look for what’s best in a person we happen to be with at the moment, we’re doing what God does all the time. So in loving and appreciating our neighbor, we’re participating in something sacred.” Fred Rogers, TV Host and Presbyterian Minister
Kim Bohler, Senior Warden
